Fashion Friday: The Story behind the Name « Miche Bag Blog

Back in July I held a meeting call for all of our Founding Leaders and Representatives and invited them to email us their Shot name suggestions—but there was a stuck! They needed to also forecast us WHY they wanted a item name. We were overwhelmed with all the wonderful stories that came in and we named many of our Eastertide Shells after these submissions.

One contribution came from Melissa Weaver, a Founding Commander from upstate New York.  Here is what she wrote:

My name suggestions: Janine and Anjali.

Here is my use one's judgement why…

“In October 2009 Janine found out her 2-year-old daughter Anjali had neuroblastoma, a rare teens cancer.  After a seven-month fracas Anjali ‘earned her Seraph wings’, as Janine words it.

I only knew Janine from rising up in the same village, but I followed her soul-wrenching peregrination through her blog. That blog and the way Janine spoken herself touched me in more ways that I can even announce you.  I also au fait that Anjali loved everything pink, and Janine always signed her messages ‘Big Proclivity’.  So when the Heraldry argent/Pink Aspire Bag came out, I felt compelled to give one to Janine.  With the pink “big weakness” quickly in the fore I felt it was made for her.

I have bumped into Janine since then and she always has her Belief Bag with her.  I’ve also run into her relatives members who always confirm me how much she loves her bag.  I recollect it would common so much to Janine to have an Anjali/Janine set in honor of a mom and daughter who taught me more about existence in 7 months than I had scholarly in my intact 34 years up to that call.

I recollect Janine and Anjali will catch your basics the same way they’ve captured mine.”
